Throughout this shoot I recorded interviews with each subject, I asked each person multiple questions about how they felt they belong, what emotions they feel, what memories they have made here and why they feel they belong here the most….

Ballaugh Village
What was you're first memory here?
I have lived here all my life, for a long time it was all I knew, I played on the beaches, in the village playground, in the village park, shopped in the village shop, it was like this for a long time before I went to high school.
How does it make you feel?
Safe. it is a familiar place, in which I still live, I can't imagine it any other way really, its my home.

What sort of emotions does it make you feel?
Happy, sad, angry, excited. I have felt them all here,
but now I feel grateful, to be surrounded in such bliss.
